Job summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking an experienced and certified Medical Assistant Instructor to join our Albuquerque campus on a part-time afternoon schedule. This role offers 16 hours per week with a pay range of $20.80–$24.96 per hour.

The position emphasizes mentoring students, delivering engaging instruction, and providing hands-on lab guidance while maintaining compliance with safety and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program recognized by USDE/CHEA or 3 years relevant training/experience.
• Minimum of three years full-time practical Medical Assistant experience.
• Current CMA or RMA certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Applicable state/local credentials as required by regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and digital communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery: design and deliver interactive lesson plans aligned with curriculum.
• Lab Guidance: provide hands-on clinical instruction and skill development.
• Student Assessment: evaluate coursework, labs, and exams with timely feedback.
• Mentorship: maintain office hours to advise and mentor students.
• Administration & Compliance: accurate record keeping and attendance tracking.
• Communication: coordinate with campus leadership on student performance and concerns.
• Enrichment: arrange guest speakers, site visits, and community activities.
• Safety: enforce OSHA/HIPAA standards across classrooms and labs.
