Qualifications

• Specialized diploma as a Medical Assistant.
• CCMA / CMA / CMAC certifications or PA equivalents preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficiency with EMR, Word processing, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for exams/procedures and maintains exam rooms.
• Collects medical histories and medication refills per protocol.
• Collects lab specimens and coordinates referrals and procedures.
• Greets patients and provides front-office support including scheduling and payments.
