Job summary

Billings Clinic Heights Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant I to support patient care and clinic operations for 20 hours per week. Under general supervision, you will assist physicians and nursing staff and handle administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, MA residency or certification within 12 months, and knowledge of medical terminology and patient data collection.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of the MA residency or obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Medical Terminology, Medication History, and New Clinic Staff Class within 6 months and/or prior to testing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies based on patient needs and type of examination or procedure.
• Assist with patient scheduling, registrations, and co-pay collection as necessary.
• Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data.
• Assist with minor procedures and physical exams, ensuring proper documentation in the medical record.
• Maintain patient records and files in compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
