Niagara Community College in New York is seeking a part-time Mechanical Technology Instructor to deliver courses in instrumentation and robotics. Classes may be held in various formats including face-to-face and online. The remuneration is $1,008 per lecture hour and $903 per lab hour, making it a lucrative opportunity for qualified candidates.
The instructor will be responsible for assessing student learning outcomes and reporting grades at the semester’s end. Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and have relevant industrial experience.
SUNY Niagara has a need for part‑time Mechanical Technology Instructors to teach instrumentation lecture and lab and/or robotics lecture and lab. Classes are held on the main campus in Sanborn, NY. Days and times may be flexible. Remuneration is $1,008 per lecture hour and $903 per lab hour.
The instructor will deliver courses in face‑to‑face, hybrid or online formats as agreed, and will report student learning outcomes and grades at semester’s end.
Ability to work with and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must be able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Associate’s degree for laboratory only) and industrial experience in either instrumentation or robotics (both programming and operation).
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Instructional experience at the Community College level or in industrial training.
No specific licenses or certifications required.
