Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent with 18 graduate hours in Mechanical Engineering.
• Degrees must be from a regional accredited institution.
• Passion for teaching engineering required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Innovative teaching techniques encouraged.
• Familiarity with distance learning and use of technology in instruction.
• Ability to use collaborative and student-centered methods.
• Ability to work with a culturally diverse student body and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned classes as scheduled and align with course objectives.
• Use technology to enhance instructional methods and outcomes.
• Adapt lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engage with students regularly to support learning and positive experience at Ivy Tech.
• Develop and implement teaching strategies that engage students.
