Job summary

SSOE, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Part-Time Mechanical Designer Intern to contribute to the design of cutting-edge industrial facilities. This onsite role requires North Phoenix work, with flexible hours to fit academic schedules. Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools is a plus as you gain hands-on experience on

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree is preferred.
• Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, PIPE-FLO, or AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and quick learner.
• Good communication and collaboration during design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive technical drawings, and models aligning with project requirements.
• Creation, refinement, and finalization of designs encompassing industrial piping, plumbing, ducting, process chemicals, and potentially other mechanical building systems.
• Apply established design techniques, exercising judgment to adapt and modify design concepts while ensuring compliance with company and team CAD standards for quality control.
• Collaborate closely with design teams, Engineers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to address specific objectives, complex features, and propose viable solutions to unique challenges.
• Facilitate seamless coordination among various design disciplines (Electrical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, etc.) to fulfill design package requirements.
• Conduct field verifications and site assessments to identify, verify, resolve, and integrate solutions into design packages, troubleshooting design issues during construction as necessary.
