Job summary

A leading engineering and environmental firm is seeking a part-time Mechanical Building Code Inspector in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The inspector will conduct building code inspections and plan reviews on mechanical systems. Candidates must have a Florida commercial building inspection license and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience performing plan review and/or inspections.
• Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform building code inspections and plan review on mechanical systems.
• Prepare written and electronic reports and issue notices of correction.
• Explain and interpret code regulations or quality control requirements.
• Recognize, evaluate and resolve unique problems or situations.
• Maintain customer service relationships with clients and the public.
• Assist the inspection management team with business development.

Florida commercial building inspection license (BN#) in the mechanical discipline

Electrical, plumbing, and building inspection licenses
