Job summary
Louisiana State University Eunice (LSUE) seeks a part-time Mathematics Tutor to assist freshmen and sophomore students in the Mathematics Tutoring Center. The position involves one-on-one help and support with online homework, with hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, up to 30 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Mathematics or related field, or be a current Bachelor's student who has passed Algebra and Trigonometry, and will bring prior teaching or
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Mathematics or a related field with credit in College Algebra and Trigonometry.
- Experience mentoring high school or college students.
- Current bachelor’s degree students who passed Algebra and Trigonometry may apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one tutoring in freshman/sophomore math courses.
- Assist students with online platforms (myLSUE, myCourses, MyMathLab).
- Help maintain lab environment and oversee daily operations.
- Schedule operating hours and supervise student assistants.
- Track lab usage and report workload to the Dean.
