Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of experience teaching or tutoring mathematics at the postsecondary level.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled and drop-in mathematics tutoring in person and through approved virtual platforms to individual students and small groups.
• Explain mathematical concepts, problem-solving methods, assignments, and course-related technology using varied instructional approaches appropriate for student needs.
• Maintain current knowledge of mathematics content offered through the lab and adapt tutoring methods as curricula, software, and learning needs change.
• Communicate with the Director regarding student visits, progress, recurring challenges, referrals, and support needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records of tutoring sessions, attendance, service, and student progress for assessment, grant reporting, and monthly performance reports.
• Protect student information, ensure FERPA compliance, and assist with collecting, verifying, and reporting data for grant purposes.
