Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a Part-Time Math Tutor for the TRIO Student Support Services program at the Indianapolis Downtown Campus. The role involves in-person tutoring in pre-algebra through college-level math, plus group tutoring, exam reviews, and a TEAS bootcamp.

The position is limited to 15 hours per week for 30 weeks in the 2026–2027 academic year. Ideal candidates have a strong math background, tutoring/mentoring experience, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong background in math subjects from pre-algebra to college-level topics.
• Experience tutoring, teaching, or mentoring preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication; customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Tutor one-on-one math sessions and facilitate group tutoring.
• Document tutoring data and track sessions for outcome reporting.
• Maintain FERPA compliance and professional tutor conduct.
• Support TEAS bootcamp and exam review sessions as needed.
