Job summary

AoPS Academy in Austin is seeking a part-time Math Instructor for the 2026-2027 academic year. You will teach using our advanced curriculum to small groups, engage students actively, and manage classrooms of up to 16 students.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree (STEM or education preferred) with strong math knowledge and prior teaching or tutoring experience. In-person after-school/weekend schedules apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or educational field strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in math.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.
• K-12 classroom teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach using company curriculum for advanced students in small math classes.
• Actively engage students in class and promote student-led learning.
• Manage classroom with up to 16 students.
• Grade tests and provide feedback to students and families.
• Build relationships with students and families to support education journey.
• Inspire love of learning and critical thinking in math.
