Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking a Part Time Material Handler in Portland, OR to operate equipment safely for moving packages, pallets, and heavyweight freight. The role includes assisting in pallet buildup/breakdown and acting as liaison with the ULD repair vendor as needed.

Required is the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and maintain clear communication in a noisy environment. Drug screen and valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Ability to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Ability to bend and squat for designated work hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient operation of equipment for movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assist in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serve as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
