Job summary

Lone Star College-North Harris in Houston, TX, is seeking an adjunct (part-time) Massage Therapy instructor to teach courses at various times and locations. Primary responsibilities include developing syllabi, delivering curriculum, and supporting student learning.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma, at least 3 years of massage therapy experience, a Massage Therapy Certificate, a current Texas TDLR license, and an LMTI credential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of massage therapy experience.
• Certificate in Massage Therapy; Texas TDLR license in good standing; LMTI credential.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Massage Therapy courses at a variety of times and locations.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Updates and submits a course syllabus following guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students before/after class or by appointment.
• Evaluates students' progress and informs them in a timely manner.
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Attends annual meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
• Assumes other related duties as assigned.
