Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of non-teaching massage therapy experience.
• Certificate in Massage Therapy; current Texas TDLR Massage Therapist License in good standing; Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor (LMTI) credential.
• Prior teaching or precepting experience and experience using instructional technology.
• At least 5 years of practical experience, plus 2 years teaching skills in an instructional environment.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Massage Therapy courses at a variety of times and locations.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Updates and submits a course syllabus for each course, following guidelines.
• Meets with and advises students before or after class or by appointment.
• Evaluates students to measure progress and informs them of results.
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Attends annual meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
• Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
