Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in journalism/marketing, communications or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of nonprofit communications including a focus on social media and multi-channel marketing.
• Knowledge of current social platforms and trends, plus use of metrics to inform content.
• Creative thinker with ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communications and ability to write clearly and persuasively.
• Flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends for programming/events.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of ASI programs, audiences, and community to inform content development.
• Ideation, storyboarding, writing, and production of multimedia content for social media, web, ads, or other channels.
• Be a resource for content ideas and help bring ideas to execution that meet audience needs.
• Be a creative thinker and champion of innovation in a changing environment.
• Perform daily upkeep of ASI’s website including copy/images, events, and pages.
• Assist with ASI blog content development, research, writing, and posting.
• Collaborate to develop weekly email communications using Constant Contact.
• Source content and prioritize promotions with input from departments; maintain subscriber lists.
• Maintain a social media calendar and support daily social content across channels.
• Monitor trends and adjust to optimize engagement; uphold ASI brand voice and identity.
• Contribute to DEAI commitments and inclusive practices across activities.
