Job summary

Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Mammography Technologist for its Mammography office at an affiliated practice in Tucson, AZ. The Mammography Technologists will perform 3D digital mammography to assist in the diagnosis of disease in the OBGYN office.

The ideal candidate must have good knowledge and understanding of mammography. Must be able to work independently without supervision and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
• State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable).
• Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties.
• Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
• Responsible for applying analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.
• All other job requests as assigned by the Mammography Operations Manager, Director of Imaging Operations, or Care Center Administrator.
