Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time onsite role. The position supports imaging procedures with a focus on patient comfort and accuracy, including documentation and education for new technologists.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program with ARRT radiography and mammography credentials. MQSA training, IEMA licensure, and CPR-BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT Radiography certification and current ARRT registration.
• ARRT Mammography certification and current ARRT registration preferred.
• 40 hours advanced training in a MQSA approved program and 25 supervised exams in mammography.
• Maintain required mammography continuing education as mandated by MQSA.
• IEMA Licensure and CPR-BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Document the medical history of the patient prior to any examination.
• Maintain cleanliness of room, sterilize mammographic equipment and keep adequate stock of supplies on hand.
• Position patient to obtain correct imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Explain imaging procedure and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain quality of mammographic equipment and promote continuous quality improvement.
• Follow department protocols to maintain production and quality mammograms.
• Accurately document mammogram data into patient charts.
