Job summary

ImageCare Radiology is hiring a Mammography Technologist for our Jefferson office. You will perform mammography x-rays and support patient care, reporting to Mount Olive for onboarding.

The role requires ARRT certification (BLS preferred) and 1 year in medical imaging or mammography. On-site schedule includes Saturday shifts; benefits include health and life insurance, 401(k), PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification required; BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in medical imaging and mammography is preferred.
• X-ray experience is preferred (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Perform and process routine mammography x-rays.
• Maintain patient records and verify exam orders.
• Stock rooms with supplies and maintain clean work area.
• Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training.
• Operate PACS and verify exams with radiologist routing.
• Continue education to maintain ARRT certification.

ImageCare is seeking a Mammography Technologist for our Jefferson office. All candidates must report to Mount Olive on their first day for onboarding.

Schedule

Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

To perform quality mammography x-rays films for referring physicians for diagnosing a patient's condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform and process routine mammography x-rays.
• Perform 100 mammographies per year to maintain certification.
• Stock rooms with supplies.
• Demonstrate excellent patient care
• Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training
• Always verify patient with exam order and study to be performed
• Maintenance and organization of patient film file records in our EMR and on site as needed.
• Handling patient priors as needed.
• Checking and verifying exam with EMR order vs Rx
• Verifying images, notes, authorization number if pertinent to patient exams.
• Verifying Physician study routing preferences.
• Scan in patient paperwork and verify exams in PACS with all necessary information for Radiologist to read exam.
• Maintains continuing education as required to ensure ARRT certification.
• Maintain clean and stocked work area.
• Maintain HIPAA practices and HIPAA training
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
