Job summary

Hyder Property Management Professionals is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Riverside Apartments in Ventura, CA. The role is part-time, hourly, and aims to preserve buildings and common areas, with duties ranging from painting and plumbing to HVAC installation and landscaping.

The ideal candidate works autonomously, follows safety guidelines, and helps develop a maintenance plan for efficient operation of the project. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be bilingual in English/Spanish.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Be able to comply with Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and follow safety labels and instructions.
• Must be able to follow and give technical instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Meet weekly with the site manager to discuss needs and monthly budget.
• Plan and implement Preventive Maintenance and semi-annual inspections.
• Prepare weekly work schedules, coordinate tasks for timely completion, and manage repairs.
• Respond to tenant repair requests and take prompt corrective action on deficiencies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory; enforce safety policies.
