Job summary

ROUNDHOUSE COMMUNITIES LLC in Spring Creek, SD is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to keep our properties in top condition. You will perform upkeep, repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and common-area maintenance, respond to work orders promptly, and ensure safety and code compliance.

You’ll document work, coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, handle after-hours on-call rotations, and use maintenance software to keep orders current.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year in general maintenance and repair work.
• Working understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, CPO, and carpentry systems.
• Strong communication and customer-service mindset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Handle on-site repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and pool systems.
• Respond quickly to work orders and complete to a high-quality finish.
• Walk the property to catch maintenance issues and ensure safety and health-code compliance.
• Protect curb appeal by keeping grounds and common areas clean and functional.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize tasks and purchases.
• Keep records of work done, materials, hours, and status.
• Take turns on after-hours on-call rotation and assist with snow and ice removal.
• Maintain maintenance software so orders are current and accurate.
• Follow safety procedures per handbook and OSHA standards.
