Job summary

Associa is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Tacoma for a part-time role, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Occasional after-hours or Saturday work may be required for critical tasks.

You will perform general facility maintenance, minor repairs and cleaning, both with the maintenance manager and on your own, in all weather conditions. Duties include cleaning common areas, pool maintenance, electrical/mechanical tasks, and basic repairs.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform general facility maintenance and minor repairs.
• Comfort with outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work with the maintenance manager and independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean all common areas in flats and cabana.
• Assist maintenance manager with garbage pickup and dumping.
• General upkeep of community grounds, including debris removal.
• Change light bulbs, door locks, and adjust door mechanisms.
• Painting tasks.
• Pool maintenance, balancing chemicals, and safety checks.
• Assist with roof, gutter, vent, and drain cleaning and repairs.
• Assemble equipment and replace batteries in alarms/locks.
