Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at a senior living community. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and housekeeping duties around the grounds and buildings, and completing service requests for repairs in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

The role requires basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical know-how, plus the ability to respond to emergency calls outside of regular hours.

Qualifications

• One year maintenance experience.
• Ability to be on call if needed.
• General understanding of systems including plumbing, electrical and mechanical.
• Familiarity with OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties around the community as assigned.
• Complete service requests for repair and maintenance of grounds, buildings, equipment and vehicles in a timely, cost-efficient manner.
• Maintain and restore wall/floor coverings, furniture, fixtures, appliances, painting, HVAC, refrigeration, carpet and hard-surface areas as needed.

Our community is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned.
• Performs routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Routine maintenance duties may include: fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects, working with heating and air systems, refrigeration systems, carpet and hard surface maintenance and “make ready” rooms as assigned.

Qualifications:

• One year maintenance experience.
• Ability to be on call if needed.
• Has a general understanding of systems including: plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance.
• Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
