Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician to upkeep and repair production/facility equipment for day and night operations at our Saint Paul facility. The role involves reviewing equipment reports, logging actions, and performing preventative maintenance per policy.

The ideal candidate has at least six months of mechanic experience, knowledge of equipment repair and welding, and the ability to read, write, and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree preferred.
• Minimum six months mechanic experience required.
• Knowledge of equipment repair and operation; welding ability.
• Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on production/facility equipment to keep operations running.
• Review equipment reports, log actions/repairs, and maintain repair logs per policy.
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain PM logs with proper documentation.
• Follow safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, safe work environment).
• Maintain battery-charging area, batteries and related equipment.
• Manage tools, parts and maintenance equipment inventory and secure storage.
