Job summary

HRM Services is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to preserve the safety and functionality of affordable housing properties. The role requires independent work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and a practical knowledge of basic maintenance practices.

Responsibilities include inspecting buildings, maintaining electrical and plumbing systems, and performing a variety of tasks such as painting, HVAC troubleshooting, and repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience preferred.
• Detail oriented and able to work autonomously.
• Basic technology skills and organizational abilities.
• Familiar with electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes.
• Ability to operate common tools and appliances.
• High school diploma preferred; HVAC certificate is a plus.
• CMRP certification is desired.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance and installation of systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, change filter furnaces etc.), assist in setup of systems and conduct repairs when necessary, maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Navigate smartphone and electronic work orders.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows).
• Willing to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, HVAC troubleshooting, janitorial, inspections, landscaping, snow removal, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 90lbs and stand for up to 8 hours.

Part Time Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Full Time Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility of preserving the good condition and functionality of affordable housing properties. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly in a fast paced and detailed environment.

Job Type:

Part-time

Starting Pay

$18 per hour

Experience:

• Maintenance experience is preferred
• Detail oriented
• Basic technology (smart phone/computer)
• Organizational skills
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired
