Job summary

HRM Services is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to preserve the good condition and functionality of affordable housing properties. The role requires autonomy in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and a willingness to perform a range of maintenance tasks.

Starting pay is $18 per hour. The ideal candidate will have maintenance experience, basic technical skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. HVAC cert or CMPRP is a plus for advancement.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience preferred
• Detail oriented
• Basic technology (smartphone/computer)
• Organizational skills
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance and installation of systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, change filter furnaces etc.), assist in setup of systems and conduct repairs when necessary, maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Ability to navigate smart phone, electronic work orders
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
• Willing to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, HVAC troubleshooting, janitorial, inspections, landscaping, snow removal, etc.

Job Type:Full-time

Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday

Starting Pay:$18 per hour
