Point Real Estate Management LLC, located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician for a part-time role at one of our multifamily properties. The ideal candidate will handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and HVAC work under supervision, with responsibilities across maintenance and resident support.

The position is approximately 30 hours per week, with flexible but preferred hours 8AM - 2PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations in the area.

Responsibilities

• Provide water, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and general maintenance support.
• Respond to service requests within 24 hours and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in distribution of flyers and materials.
• Perform interior/exterior painting, drywall, flooring and fixtures repairs.
• Support custodial and grounds tasks as needed.

Description

Point Real Estate Management is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to add to our team! This part-time position will be based at one of our multifamily propertes in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have experience and exceptional knowledge working with electricity, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and HVAC.

The Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with overall maintenance of the physical property, under the direction of the Property Manager.

This position is expected to work approximately 30 hours per week, with preferred but flexible hours of 8AM - 2PM, Monday through Friday.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Customer Service


• Service requests made by residents should be completed within 24 hours


• Assist in the distribution of flyers and other material


• General Maintenance, including but not limited to:


• Replace filters and clean air conditioning vents as needed


• Replace breezeway light bulbs as needed


• Perform HVAC repairs as needed


• Perform light electrical repairs on items such as appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, circuits, etc.


• Perform light plumbing work, such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc.


• Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, blinds, locks.


• Paint, interior and exterior, when necessary.


• Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, sanding and refinishing floors.


• Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc. in common areas.


• Assist in grounds work when necessary, including picking up litter and “trashing out” vacancies.


• Maintain pool chemical levels and cleanliness.


• Repair concrete, masonry, roof, fencing, when required.


• Be responsible for refurbishing of apartments prior to resident occupancy (Make Readies).


• Have knowledge regarding water and gas meter cutoffs, all apartment and fixture cutoffs, and sewer cleanouts, and post map of same.


• Make keys, change locks and assist in maintaining key control and other work as directed


• On Call


• Handle “on call” duties whenever needed.


• Participate in standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.


• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and Property Manager

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC.


• Own basic set of hand tools.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.


• Available to participate in a rotating on-call schedule


• Ability to perform work responsibilities at other locations in the area, as needed.

Educational Requirements

• High School diploma or GED


• Technical certification preferred
