Job summary

PK Companies is seeking a part-time maintenance technician to support our Joshua, TX property portfolio. The role focuses on hands-on building and equipment repairs, grounds upkeep, and timely completion of work orders.

The ideal candidate will own hand tools, be able to perform physical tasks, and provide dependable on-call support. Electrical or boiler knowledge is a plus for maintaining complex systems across properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or related fields preferred
• Must own hand tools

• Experience with boiler and cooling towers preferred

Responsibilities

• Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings
• Grounds work; maintain common areas inside and outside
• Snow removal and after-hours emergency maintenance
• Complete maintenance and repair work orders promptly
• Order and replace broken parts or equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe work space
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
• Painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical and flooring repair
• On-call as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

24 hours per week

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings
• Grounds work, maintain all common areas, outside and inside as needed
• Snow Removal and After hour Emergency Maintenance
• Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion
• Order and replace broken parts or equipment
• Maintain a clean and a safe work space
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
• Painting, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical and flooring repair
• On-Call as needed
• Perform other duties, as assigned

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields preferred
• Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
• Must have own hand tools
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Electrical knowledge or certification helpful
• Experience working with boiler and cooling towers preferred
• Customer Service attitude
