Responsibilities

  • Perform facilities maintenance related activities necessary to proactively maintain the World Headquarters.
  • Execute preventative maintenance and perform routine troubleshooting and repair on equipment.
  • Snow removal, yard mowing and trimming, landscape work, basic electrical/HVAC/plumbing, painting, light construction, and general maintenance.
  • Help manage recycling efforts and support SEF team initiatives.
  • Report to the HQ Safety, Environment and Facilities Manager and assist with maintenance projects as needed.

Part-Time Maintenance Specialist – Kimball Solutions World Headquarters

Are you a pro‑active, self‑motivated, energetic individual who enjoys hands‑on work, a flexible schedule, and variety? Kimball Solutions is seeking a part‑time Maintenance Specialist to join our Safety, Environmental, Facilities team. We are looking for an individual who has an overall knowledge of and experience with general facility maintenance.

The Part‑Time Maintenance Specialist will perform facilities maintenance related activities necessary to pro‑actively maintain our Kimball Solutions World Headquarters. Our team member will be responsible for executing preventative maintenance and performing routine trouble shooting and repair on equipment as required.

This team member will perform activities such as, but not limited to: snow removal, yard mowing and trimming, landscape work, basic electrical/HVAC/plumbing, painting, light construction, overall general maintenance, and help manage our recycling efforts.

The Maintenance Specialist position is a role within Kimball Solutions Shared Services, located at our World Headquarters in Jasper, Indiana. This position reports to the HQ Safety, Environment and Facilities (SEF) Manager. Our new team member must be detail oriented, organized, possess excellent communication skills, possess time/project management skills, have a positive attitude, and be a strong team player with the desire to help others. The person in this position should have the ability to prioritize, be patient, and able to adapt and manage change.

Key Performance Objectives
Short Term: (0 to 3 months)
  • Learn and adopt Kimball Solutions philosophies and culture
  • Learn current safety, environment, facilities policies and processes
  • Become familiar and assist with all routine pro‑active maintenance activities
  • Learn and utilize documentation for maintenance processes as needed
  • Become familiar with purchase process for needed supplies and parts
  • Assist with maintenance projects such as, but not limited to: snow removal, yard mowing and trimming, landscape work
Mid Term: (3 to 6 months)
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspaces
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Become familiar with business resumption plans and team emergency organization
  • Request the purchase of all needed supplies and parts through the SEF Manager
Long Term: (6 to 12 months and beyond)
  • Perform routine trouble shooting and repair on equipment and support systems as required
  • Assist with business resumption plans and team emergency organization
  • Support continuous improvement to safety, environment and facilities
  • Perform activities necessary to pro‑actively maintain the Kimball Solutions World Headquarters
