Job summary

IDEAL Industries, Inc. in Sycamore, IL is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic, 1st Shift to maintain production equipment and facilities. The role requires preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic electrical work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Daily schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm with an entry-level hourly rate range $30.65–$36.06. The position offers hands-on work, safety emphasis, and opportunities to contribute to lean improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade or vocational training with 5+ years hands-on maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of Ladder Logic, PLCs and PLC programming.
• Lean manufacturing and ISO familiarity preferred.
• LOTO training and cross-disciplinary mechanical/electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to service manufacturing needs.
• Assist with installation, relocation and alignment of equipment.
• Maintain records of work performed and parts used.
• Support continuous improvement and lean projects.
