Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at our Lafayette location. This part-time role supports the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the community’s facilities and grounds in top condition for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with repairs, ensuring safety and aesthetics, and contributing to a positive living environment. Applicants with basic maintenance experience and an understanding of electrical/heating/cooling systems are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge in electrical, heating and cooling helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the community’s physical plant and grounds.
• Ensure a safe, attractive and enjoyable living environment for residents, staff and the public.
• Collaborate with team to achieve excellent care for residents.
