Outfield-Healthcare-Partners in Alamogordo, NM is seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to oversee the facility's upkeep, ensuring it is sanitary, attractive, and safe. You will help maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems while reporting to the Plant Supervisor or Operations Manager. Responsibility includes regular safety inspections and preventive maintenance scheduling with thorough record-keeping to support Life Safety and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of maintenance and housekeeping procedures.
• 2+ years in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular safety inspections and weekly high-risk area walkthroughs.
• Follow Life Safety and Preventative Maintenance tasks and document via TELS.
• Prepare a monthly preventive maintenance schedule.
• Maintain center profile and full maintenance records.
• Keep logs on Life Safety Manual and OSHA compliance.
• Prioritize work orders and track them electronically in TELS.
• Maintain electrical and mechanical equipment in good order; lubricate and clean parts.
• Report serious failures to the Administrator.
• Assist with daily rounds and adjust priorities as needed.
