Job summary

American Senior Communities seeks a Maintenance Assistant at Aster Place Assisted Living in Lafayette, IN. This part-time role supports the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the community’s facilities safe and welcoming for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with maintenance tasks, basic electrical/heating/cooling knowledge, and a commitment to CARE values. Prior experience is preferred, with a high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates CARE values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge in electrical, heating, and cooling helpful.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the community’s physical plant and grounds.
• Ensures a safe, attractive living environment for residents, staff and the public.
• Supports a team approach to maintenance tasks.
