Job summary

Dawn Foods is seeking a Machine Operator I in Michigan to work with raw materials, mixing formulas, and packaging for shipping. The Friday–Saturday 6:00 pm–6:00 am shift offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing bakery manufacturing operation.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED (food manufacturing experience preferred), ability to read safety and instruction documents, and basic math and barcode scanning proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.
• Ability to work independently or with others; problem solving in variable situations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all produced product meets specifications, and complies with food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards per GMP, AIB, IFS, HACCP requirements.
• Operate computer systems used in production processes.
• Operate auxiliary equipment as needed for each function.
• Work safely per SOPs and training to ensure quality and food safety.
• Record production data using barcode scanners and complete required paperwork.
• Assist in training new team members and follow PPE and GMP protocols.
