Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a high-end retail location in New York, NY. The role involves unarmed patrols, customer assistance, and upholding safety and loss prevention standards within a premier retail environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, stockrooms, employee areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and unauthorized access, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Maintain a professional presence to help deter theft, disturbances, and other unwanted activity while supporting a safe shopping environment.
