Waystone Health & Human Services in Haverhill, MA is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or registered nurse (RN) to provide medical care for individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting.

This part-time role includes med administration, daily health assessments, training staff, and documenting care plans, with opportunities for growth and a supportive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts LPN or RN license in good standing.
• Experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow care plans and document services.
• Organizational skills, computer literacy, and electronic documentation ability.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive wheelchair-accessible vans.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications on-site in the assigned home.
• Perform daily health assessments for all individuals.
• Ensure safe, effective personal care including bathing, feeding, and mobility support.
• Provide skilled nursing care as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Train and support staff in medical protocols, personal care techniques, treatments, and healthy practices.
• Accompany individuals on medical appointments and assess medical equipment for safety.
• Maintain medical records accurately and update them timely.
