Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Perianesthesia nursing assistant to join the team. The role involves providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting assessments, and assisting with the plan of care under the guidance of registered nurses.

Requirements include completion of a Practical Nursing program and an LPN license. BLS certification must be obtained within six months if required by leadership.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, Windows navigation, email and EMR systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop rapport with patients, families, staff and physicians.
• Strong organization, prioritization and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per policy and standards of care.
• Assist with patient assessment and data documentation.
• Identify changes in patient condition and report to RN.
• Assist with care plans and nursing interventions as directed.
• Document interventions and patient responses; communicate changes to RN.
