Job summary

Salemtowne in Winston-Salem, NC is looking for a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to administer nursing care in a skilled nursing community under RN and physician orders. You will assess residents, monitor conditions, provide wound care, and assist with daily activities to ensure health, comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include supervising Medication Aides and CNAs, documenting care, communicating with physicians, and adhering to policy and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN educational program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with NC Board of Nursing.
• CPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct resident nursing care and supervises the Medication Aides and CNAs within their neighborhood or unit in accordance with established plans.
• Acts as a supervisor in a modified primary care setting.
• Complies with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of residents within their assignment.
• Maintains communications with physicians concerning resident care including lab results and assessments.
• Completes required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
