NewsNation is seeking a Part Time Studio Steadi-Cam Operator in New York to help produce high‑quality video for live cable news broadcasts, with flexibility around early weekends, weekday evenings, and holidays. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a fast‑paced live TV environment, is proficient with Steadi‑Cam systems, and can lift up to 50 lbs.

IBEW Local 1212 membership is required; reports to 220 E. 42nd St, New York, NY.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced live TV environment.
• Proficient in Steadi-Cam systems.
• Able to carry/wear up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position and frame shots per director's commands on X/Y axes.
• Carry/wear weight of 50 lbs.
• Perform smooth on-air movements.
• Operate and troubleshoot Steadicam system and maintain gear.
• Communicate clearly with the team and stay self-sufficient.
• Work schedule includes mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays with possible overtime.
