Job summary

NewsNation is seeking a part-time Studio Steadi-Cam Operator in New York, NY to support live cable news broadcasts. Requires IBEW Local 1212 membership and reporting to 220 E. 42nd St, NYC.

Flexible hours including weekends/holidays; 80–100 USD per hour depending on experience. 5+ years in fast-paced live TV and proficiency with Steadi-Cam systems are required. Physical job with up to 50 lbs lift, strong teamwork, and the ability to work under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Five plus (5+) years' experience in a fast-paced live television environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field preferred.
• Must be proficient in Steadi-Cam systems.

Responsibilities

• Listen to director’s commands and react swiftly and accurately for correctly positioning and framing shots.
• Carry / wear up to 50lbs for extended periods and operate the Steadicam system.
• Set up, program, troubleshoot, and maintain Steadi-Cam equipment and vest.
• Communicate and document effectively with the team and work well in a collaborative environment.
