Job summary

The National Football League is seeking a TOC Operator to support live broadcasts and ensure feeds meet broadcast specifications. You will coordinate with NFL Media Production, Newsroom, NFL Films Technical Operations, and other NFL clubs to troubleshoot signals and maintain continuity across multiple feeds.

You must have at least 5 years in a broadcast operations environment, strong writing and communication skills, and a solid understanding of SMPTE 2110, HD/SD, and related signal paths.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a broadcast operations environment including 2110, HD/SD, ASI, JPEG and MPLS signals.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and operation of broadcast routing systems, including split routes.
• Read digital & analog waveform monitors and how to set up test bars.
• Read audio meters.
• Understand analog, digital and SMPTE 2110 signal flows.
• Perform Sync and Fax checks prior to live shows and events.
• Perform extensive transmission checks prior to live remote events.
• Generate broadcast reports.
• Communicate issues to Operations and Production Management in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with NFL Media Production, Newsroom, NFL Films Technical Operations, and clubs to ensure broadcast specs.
