Job summary

Christ the King Parish in Chicago seeks a Part-time Director of Liturgy to oversee liturgical celebrations, recruit volunteers, and coordinate ministers. You will chair meetings, train volunteers, and ensure smooth liturgies with careful attention to detail and pastoral sensitivity.

The role requires weekend/evening availability and collaboration with the parish Music Director and formation staff. This hourly, non-benefits position supports the parish mission.

Qualifications

• Practicing Roman Catholic with knowledge of Catholic faith and liturgy.
• Experience or training in liturgy; strong pastoral presence.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, attends and chairs liturgy meetings.
• Train and oversee liturgical ministers and schedule monthly rotas.
• Coordinate and plan Sunday and seasonal liturgies.
• Work with Music Director on liturgy planning.
• Maintain liturgical environment and inventory.
• Communicate schedule with rectory and presiders.
