Job summary

Farr West Elementary in Weber School District is seeking a PT Literacy Aide to provide targeted, evidence-based reading interventions for grades K-3. The role supports teachers by maintaining reading plans, data collection, and adjustments to interventions to ensure alignment with the Science of Reading.

The position is part-time (5.75 hours/day, 28.75 hours/week) with a 180-day calendar. Salary is set on Lane 4(B) of the Educational Support Paraprofessionals Schedule; benefits are not included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence-based reading interventions aligned with the Science of Reading for students.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and literacy coach to deliver interventions with fidelity.
• Assist with literacy building activities and strategies.
• Develop aide schedules with administrators.
• Participate in ongoing Science of Reading training and apply best practices.
• Review student progress with teachers and adjust supports accordingly.
• Coordinate and communicate instructional plans and schedules for interventions.
