Responsibilities include following planned menus, portioning, garnishing, and assisting other staff. This position emphasizes a professional appearance, positive attitude, and adherence to resident rights and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent or technical school.
• Minimum three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to planned menus using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
