Job summary

Tallgrass Country Club in Wichita, Kansas is seeking a part-time, hourly Line Cook. Pay is $15.00 per hour and you will support kitchen operations across pantry items, prep, and service to our restaurant, banquet, and snack outlets.

Responsibilities include opening/closing tasks, following prep lists, prepping meats and vegetables, and maintaining safety, quality, and clean working environments while ensuring consistent attendance and proper storage.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college, technical school or accredited facility or 6-12 months related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening and closing checklists.
• Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift.
• Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables for cooking on grills and fryers.
• Adheres to standard portion sizes, cooking methods and quality standards.
• Ensures proper storage of food items.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area.
• Opens the kitchen properly and follows opening checklist.
• Communicates equipment and food quality issues to supervisor.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
