The Benton County Sheriff's Office in Oregon is seeking Limited Duty Jail Deputies for the County Jail. This part-time, intermittent role requires you to work as a third or fourth team member on a shift, stepping in when others are away or on vacation.

Duties include jail security, monitoring, communicating with adults in custody, and potential control room duties. Pay starts at $20.51 per hour; sick leave is provided for on-call employees; open until filled.

Competenze

• Be 18 years old or older
• Be a U.S. Citizen
• Hold at minimum a High School Diploma or GED
• Possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License
• Be available to work any shift
• Pass a background check and medical examination before hire

Mansioni

• Maintain the security of the County Jail and the safety of adults in custody, staff, and the public.
• Monitor, inspect, and search the facility as part of daily duties.
• Communicate with and provide direct services to adults in custody.
• Possibly work in Control Room operations and support booking and releasing of inmates.
• Distribute medications as required and support related duties.
