Job summary

City of Bozeman is seeking a part-time Lifeguard I to monitor patrons, enforce pool rules, provide life-saving assistance, and deliver excellent customer service. The role helps maintain aquatic facilities and equipment while supporting a welcoming environment.

Qualifications include lifeguarding certification, CPR/AED and First Aid within 1 month of hire, and the ability to work early mornings and evenings as shifts are offered Monday–Friday. Age minimum is 15.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Aquatics experience is desired but not required.
• Must successfully complete two prerequisite swimming skills evaluations.
• Within 1 month of hire, obtain Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patrons and enforce pool rules to ensure safety.
• Provide life-saving assistance and complete incident reports.
• Deliver customer service, process passes and registrations.
• Maintain clean facilities and equipment.
