Job summary

The YMCA of Greenville is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to maintain a safe pool environment and ensure compliance with safety policies. The role includes preventing hazards, responding to emergencies, and delivering excellent customer service to members and program participants.

Required certifications include Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED, with certification completion within 60 days of employment. The YMCA offers certification opportunities and member benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 15.
• Current Lifeguard Certification or able to obtain within 60 days of employment.
• CPR, First Aid, & AED Certification.
• Demonstrate lifeguard skills per YMCA standards.
• Able to communicate and enforce policies to members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain active surveillance to ensure pool safety.
• Enforce pool rules and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
• Complete emergency procedures and related reports.
• Carry out daily aquatics SOPs and stay calm under pressure.
• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.
• Attend required trainings and meetings.
