Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Worcester is seeking a part-time lifeguard to supervise the pool area and provide a safe, engaging environment for members after school and during evening hours.

You must be available between 2:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., be able to pass the lifeguard test and rescue scenarios, and have reliable transportation. This nonprofit serves local youth and offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the Worcester community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Red Cross lifeguard certification; CPR/AED and First Aid required.
• Prior lifeguard, swim team, or swim instruction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established Red Cross protocol and guidelines.
• Assist with swim lessons and pool safety instruction when appropriate.
• Maintain Massachusetts state regulations for lifeguard/swimmer ratio.
• Ensure the safety of all members at all times.
