Job summary

Swan Aquatics LLC is seeking a Lifeguard Coordinator for the Kirtland AFB Aquatic Center in Albuquerque, NM. You will oversee lifeguard safety, lead a posted shifts team, develop training and safety protocols, and ensure compliance with a wide range of local, federal, and base regulations.

This part-time role runs Monday–Friday with morning, midday, and late-afternoon blocks. Candidates must be able to pass background checks, maintain certifications, and foster a positive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Current lifeguard certification from American Red Cross, StarGuard ELITE, or Ellis & Associates.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Standard First Aid.
• Swim test: 300-yard swim, 2-minute tread, and a 10-lb brick retrieval from 7 ft in under 1:40.
• Must pass a background check for base access.
• 18+ years old minimum.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the lifeguard team to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Conduct regular in-service training and audits for lifeguards.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations.
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
• Monitor pool and facility conditions and address any safety concerns promptly.
