Job summary

Swan Aquatics LLC seeks a Facility Supervisor for the Kirtland AFB Aquatic Center in Albuquerque, NM. This full-time, exempt role oversees safety, lifeguard staffing, daily operations, and serves as the on-site point of contact for the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

The position requires on-site presence across three daily sessions. The supervisor ensures water testing, cleanliness, emergency readiness, budgeting, and records, opening at 5:00AM and closing after the last session.

Qualifications

• Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized body (ARC, StarGuard ELITE, or Ellis & Associates).
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and standard First Aid.
• Experience in pool management or a supervisory role.
• Age 18 or older.
• Must pass a background check for base access.
• Swim test: 300-yard swim, 2-minute tread, 10-lb brick retrieval from 7 ft in under 1:40.

Responsibilities

• Open facility by 5:00AM; test and log water chemistry and temperature before opening.
• Ensure three certified lifeguards are present and briefed before each session.
• Record patron sign-in in the Government log.
• Maintain pool cleanliness; clear skimmers, drains, decks and locker rooms.
• Inspect and log safety equipment daily; sanitize as needed.
• Monitor water temperature; report deviations to COR immediately.
• Take scene control during emergencies and coordinate with base responders.
• Close and secure facility after last session; deliver sign-in log.
• Use breaks for scheduling, training, records, and deliverables; stay reachable 5:30AM–6:30PM.
